Anthony Robbins’s talk
I have listened to a talk given by Tony Robbins via Youtube. This talk was given on the TED on 2006, with title, “Why we do what we do, and how we can do it better?”.
He gave motivations in the mist of humour. He could connect his idea of motivations to the case in reality. Apparently, he used a lot of attention getters in his speech. He used to asking the audiences to reply his questions with “Aye”. He called himself a “WHY” guy, instead of a motivator. He asserted that he was not motivating, but in fact, he did.
In general, he showed his intelligences and skillfulness throughout his talk. He hit the points on what happening around us in everyday situations: If someone fails to achieve a goal, he will give a lot of reasons; every human being needs love; we should analyze our needs, beliefs and emotions that are controlling us. Also, in his opinion, those people who have been went through pains psychologically, sexually, spiritually, etc often become the one that contribute the most to society.
Besides that, he emphasized the importance of emotion and creativity: If we get the right emotion, we can get ourselves to do anything; if we are creative and determined enough, we will find the way we are looking for.
In my opinion, he did motivating and giving inspiration to the audiences. However, it would be greater, if he tried to avoid or at least reduce the number of harsh terms used in his talk. Lastly, specially dedicated to Robbins: Please reduce various “shits” in your talk, then you will really look cool!

Mario Teguh’s Show
I have roughly watched through two episodes of Mario Teguh: The Golden Ways with two different themes: The Roles We Play and Super Fantasy through Youtube.
Mario Teguh is an eminent impromptu motivator. He managed to create a humour ambience while hosting the show. He looks as if he has prepared all the answers in his mindset. Every episode is embedded with highlights, which are often known as super point by Indonesians.
Super is the facia of the programme. Questions from audiences are usually described as very Super, greetings with audiences were started with Super, comments or ideas from Mario Teguh were deemed as Super Points; and if you pay attention, you will notice that even some audiences were in Superman attire.
His valuable points or opinions can be used as guidance in our life: We were grown up with playing toys, however, no matter how enjoyable we played, do not play with our life; we should not think only on our role in our own life, but also in others’ lives; it does not be a problem if you have no ambition, as long as you work hard like others who have ambitions.
He thinks situation and problem from different perspective: People who afraid of failure do not necessary imply that they are really afraid of failure but afraid of the shadow of failure; we should not lead a moderate life, but our life must be outstanding, great and beneficial, do whatever you should do, and avoid the don’ts, then observe what will happen.
In my opinion, Mario Teguh is a critical thinker. He is the cutting-edge motivator, giving inspirations and ideas to the people. Lastly, if I were asked to describe Mario Teguh, I will definitely use the word Super (superb).

JK Rowling Commencement Speech
JK Rowling is the author of the best-selling book series Harry Potter. She was giving this speech during the commencement of the Havard University 2008, with title “The Fringe Benefits of Failure, and the Importance of Imagination”.
In lieu of saying she was motivating the graduates, she was more in giving her advices. She wished the graduates to foster their friendships even after graduation. The friends with whom she sat on graduation day have been her friends for life. They were her saviour in times of trouble.
She is thinking critically: There is an expiry date on blaming your parents for steering you in the wrong direction since you are old enough to take the wheel. We cannot criticize parents for hoping that we would never experience poverty. Instead, climbing out poverty by our own efforts.
She shared a lot of her past good and also bad experiences. She gave examples on how her past miserable life served as a reminder for achieving her success today. She ended her speech with a citation: As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters. Her speech was amazing. She is managed to offer powerful and heartening advices to dreamers. She is really great!

Well, what can we expect from an outspoken motivator ?However, it would be greater, if he tried to avoid or at least reduce the number of harsh terms used in his talk.

Agreed.
